The Motivation

Today i attended a session whereby we were told to answer a few question:
1. What are our  purpose in life?
2. What are the purpose of my organisation?
3. What do i want to achieve in my organisation?

Sometime in our daily life, we are often too indulge in our workload that we often forget to ask these question. Sometime when we attend a lecture or session, they always say to have a end in mind. Does that mean that we have to have a end in our lives as well and how do we define the end?

I have yet to ask myself these question and in my work , i wish to contribute and to learn as much as possible. I felt that knowledge is very important and this is what make a person different. As such, my immediate goals is to achieve as much as i can in my work.

Life is about choices and the analogy given today struck me: When a man returned home he see dirty plates in the table and he started to get angry and decide to link thoughts about his wife not washing the dishes and decide to think his wife is lazy, irresponsible etc... but on the contrary, he could have wash the dishes himself and avoid thinking about negative issues. He is actually finding excuse not to wash the dishes.  This analogy allows me to think positively and in fact we have choices and we got to live with it. I made a decision not to take my COS and i live by it knowing that i will suffered the consequences, but i was glad that the lecturer today shared the same sentiment that it is a systematic issues and that we can't carry every issues on our back. we need to give away some. The analogy next is the best description of the issue : We can't stop goal from being scored at times, but to score more goals in return.

So i guess in life we need to score more goals and not get to perturb when we let in goals. I guess the journey in my past year has make me a different person with different perspectives and sometime i got to view issues at different angle. I still have to continue my education and this time for my remaining semester i need to attain a average B for all my modules and right now i am excited about it. A new year resolution, yes indeed it is early but it is something that i must chart for myself just as i did for my course this year
